Teacher Presence & Assistance
Child protection protocols dictate that a teacher MUST be present in the room whilst the meetings are underway but coaching will NOT be permitted in line with normal judging practices.
The teacher may wish to join the Teams meeting via the unique link emailed to the teacher themselves, however they must remain muted for the length of the session, and not interfere with the teams presentation, answer questions on behalf of the team, or prompt the team into different answers or points of discussion.
Remember. This is the teams opportunity to showcase their work and skills, and disciplinary action will be taken at the digression of the judges and or administrator present in the meeting.
A teacher or other adult WILL be required to assist with camera work in Trade Display interviews, and basic movement prompts may be made by the team to signal or advise the camera operator where to pan or zoom.
We thank you for all the work you have and continue to do as teachers and helpers, however we must ask you exercise these requirements in fairness to all teams.
